Experience
I have earned two master's degrees from Assumption College. One is in Special Education, and the other in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on math. I currently work as a special education teacher, and have a total of ten years of experience in education. Though my concentration was in math, I have had experience teaching and tutoring in English and various science subjects, as well. I have tutored in math, English, biology, algebra, and chemistry. I have also successful assisted students as they prepare for the standardized MCAS tests. My students have found me to be patient and encouraging, as well as creative in the methods that I develop for supporting students with whatever techniques or methods help them learn best. I'm able to cater to the needs of each particular student, whether that means focusing on visual, auditory, or tactile learners, or various mixtures of styles. My passion is focused on education, and I have a special spot in my heart for the benefits of one-on-one tutoring. In my free time, I enjoy running, going to the beach, playing sports, and spending time with my family.
